Competitive grants of up to $4 million per award (total pool $38 million) to California nonprofit organizations that expand mental health services for Veterans and their families through outreach, peer support, case management, and outpatient clinical treatment. Multiple rounds have been awarded — Round 1 (July 2024) distributed $33.2 million statewide; Round 2 (December 2024) targeted Central Valley and Central Coast. Awardees have included Nation's Finest. A future round has not yet been announced as of June 2026.
Eligibility
501(c)(3) nonprofits meeting California Military and Veterans Code Section 881 requirements with experience serving Veterans facing mental health barriers. Proposals must serve Veterans regardless of age, period of service, discharge…
