Grant description

Competitive grants to support state agencies and their community-based and faith-based partners in developing and implementing technology projects that improve the quality and efficiency of SNAP application and eligibility determination systems. Private nonprofit entities — including community-based organizations, faith-based organizations, food banks, and emergency feeding organizations — may apply as lead or partner entities. State agencies, local governments, public health entities, and educational institutions are also eligible. Up to $5 million total will be awarded across an anticipated 6 to 12 grants for three-year project periods (September 2026 through September 2029). Entities that received a PTIG award in FY 2024 or FY 2025 are ineligible as lead applicants this cycle.
