YouthBuild funds community-based nonprofits to provide pre-apprenticeship occupational skills training, education, and job placement for opportunity youth (ages 16–24) not in school or employed, with training in construction, advanced manufacturing, IT, and healthcare plus wrap-around supportive services.

Public or private 501(c)(3) nonprofits (including charter schools), state and local governments, tribal entities, and educational institutions; faith-based organizations encouraged; targets youth 16–24 who are out-of-school and out-of-work.
