Grant description

Noncompetitive, first-come-first-served grants for one-day or multi-day community events providing homeless Veterans with employment assistance, health screenings, mental health services, housing referrals, and benefits counseling, as well as food, clothing, and hygiene items. Awards up to $7,000 (one-day) or $10,000 (multi-day), with approximately $600,000 available annually for roughly 70 grants. Applications submitted to the state Director for Veterans' Employment and Training (DVET) up to six months before the event.

Eligibility

Nonprofits, Veterans service organizations, state/local workforce boards, faith-based organizations, tribal governments, and local public agencies. Applicants must be registered in SAM.gov. 501(c)(4) organizations are not eligible.
